Clausen House Donation

Pictured below, far left, is Peter Brooks, Development Director of Clausen House. He was at Farmer Joe’s Marketplace in the Dimond District accepting a $1500 donation from Farmer Joe’s Diana and Joe Tam this afternoon. This donation is 100% of the proceeds from the T-shirt sales. Also pictured are Wayne and Dal, our T-shirt guys. Peter expressed his gratitude for the large donation, and then could not resist the urge to go shopping. We all know that urge only too well. He left with a big bag of goodies and a big check for a worthy cause.

Confused?

Confused? You have every right to be, even another UFCW organizer looks befuddled. One of the UFCW Local 5 folks showed up at the store today wearing a Friends of Farmer Joe’s green T-shirt. I don’t know why that surprised me, but it did. After all, they have claimed to be private investigators, California Healthy Communities Network, and the Food Mill. The progression was only natural. Now, they want to be store supporters. I guess anything is better than being the UFCW. The coup de grace is the bumper stickers plastered to the front and back of the shirt. Schizophrenic, dude. Umm, a little hint here, bumper stickers are for your vehicle, not for cotton T-shirts.

More T Shirts

And more colors. We now have yellow T’s with black writing and purple T’s with white writing. Due to the popularity of the green shirts, another stash of those was ordered. For those of you who stopped by when we were low, we are restocked in all sizes. Come on in and get your T’s. They are $7. The T’s are unisex, sizes S, M, L and XL. All proceeds from the shirt sales benefit Clausen House.

Starting July 23, 2007, we will have official T shirt sale times in front of the store by the outdoor grill:
Mondays 5 – 7 pm
Saturdays 4 – 6 pm
Sundays 4 – 6 pm
